Born into a life of isolation, Cid was born into a life of obscurity. An empire composed of humans and elves destroyed the dracon civilization hundreds of years ago because of superstition and fear, leaving their numbers severely diminished. The few survivors hid underground and started to build a new city in secret. A band of dracons who believed that the times had changed travelled to the top world to try and make peace with the other races, but were hunted down and eventually killed. Cid and the few other dracons who populate Alyria are the sad remnants of a once proud and powerful race.
